"For every one of God's promises is "Yes" in Him. Therefore through him we also say "Amen" to the glory of God." 2 Corinthians 1:20

When I started my first blog over 10 years ago it was really simple. I was being asked by friends and coworkers to share recipes and so I created a space online and did just that. Over the years not only has a lot changed in my own life, but we all know a lot has changed online.
A month or two ago I thought about this space and I knew it wasn't from me. Not the space, but the idea itself. It was the Holy Spirit encouraging me to go buy this domain and start something new. I'm thankful that God is one of renewal, and that his Spirit is with me to help me! This verse gave me encouragement and hope this morning as I sat down to write.
“He has also put his seal on us and given us the Spirit in our hearts as a down payment." 2 corinthians 1:22
A down payment! How awesome is that? When I think about the assurance that a down payment brings, I'm so thankful.
Because I believe I was lead to do this, I'm starting by knowing it's not of my own doing. I know it's supposed to be here. I believe God wants me to keep writing and sharing. It means that whoever reads it and how many likes or comments it may get, that's not the point.
So often in scripture people step out in faith and that's what this is for me. I have to stop comparing and keeping my mind clear and I can do that much better through writing than I can through scrolling. We were each made to work and create, and in this space I can do just that.
In my writings and this site I hope it will serve you well but ultimately, I hope it serves Him as 2 Corinthians 1:20 says.
