Five Friday Favorites that Don't Require Leaving the House

some affiliate links are used in this post.

It's been awhile since I shared some favorites with you all. With the reality of COVID-19 this may seem silly, but I do think we all need some happy news and to not dwell on the repeating news that can induce fear and anxiety. In many ways we have prepared and know what we need to know. Now we wait and hope and pray.

In the waiting, I wanted to share some favorite things that I've been reading, using, and listening to. I hope you find them helpful and fun as we're all about to have a lot of down time!

1.The Dwell Bible App. I first heard about this from Jennie Allen's podcast and was skeptical given the cost, but I have loved this app for my listening on the go, getting ready, or just when I'm driving and need a break from lots of opinions on podcasts! There are certain plans you can use which is helpful too. All the narrators are not annoying (!!) and you can pick who you like best. I paid .99 cents to try it out for 3 months and so far, so good!

2. Kindle Paperwhite- We ended up getting Kindle Unlimited about a year ago when we got a Kindle Paperwhite and haven't looked back since. I've stopped going to the library lately because of the germs and having a kid who has respiratory issues so this has come in very handy. Not only can I read books online, my son can too and there are a lot of magazines that look great and are free either with unlimited or Prime Reading!

3. Essie Gel Couture Nail Polish and Top Coat. Ok, this one is silly but I'm so glad I splurged on it. I haven't had a manicure in years but painting my nails always makes me feel better. I've always been on the hunt for a good long lasting polish that shines and this one is great without feeling too heavy on top and drying fairly quickly!

4. Recharge Regimen - Although I've been with Rodan + Fields for over five years I'm sometimes late to trying all the things. I stick with what I know and don't switch it up, until now. I have loved how clean my face feels after this wash and how quick it is to moisturize and go. The last step acts as a primer too making my Radiant Defense go on even smoother. I think this will definitely be my go-to for the summer!

5. Pilates with Robin Long. Did you see this one coming? I've loved my online workouts with the Balanced Life with awhile now. Sometimes because kids were home and napping, and now because I won't be venturing out to the gym as much. I love the monthly workout calendar and recipe resources in the sisterhood, and you can also find a ton of workouts for free too!
