Break My Heart for What Breaks Yours

There's so much going on in the world today. Lately it feels like too much. I don't need to remind you what these things are. You know.
I'm not here to be your voice of the "news," but I do think and hope I can point you to some truth.
God is not being silent. He isn't far off or unconcerned. Whether what you're facing is a big thing or small, He cares. As I've sifted through my own emotions and gone through many of the current events in my own head and discussed them with friends, the Lord revealed this to me.
Break my heart for what breaks yours, Lord.
While driving to a friends house the other day I passed an abortion clinic. Outside were people holding signs asking people to pray for life. I started weeping. I believe scripture and scripture tells us this; "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." Pslam 139:13-16
I know He not only cares for those little live's, but He cares for those Moms and Dad's too. He has a plan and has their days ordained.
God cares about your job and he knows your worries. However, I also believe this; “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" Matthew 6:25-27

Here's the thing. We either believe the Bible, or we don't. We let it saturate us, or we pass it by.
When we trust it, when we turn to it, it ends up coming out from our lips. It's what comes to mind when lies come in and we can then attack them with His word.
Turn to the word friends. Remember it's a lamp to your feet and a light to your path, Psalm 119. Remember he is close to the broken hearted, Psalm 34:18. And remember this, "A person’s steps are established by the Lord, and he takes pleasure in his way. Though he falls, he will not be overwhelmed, because the Lord supports him with his hand." Psalm 37:23-24.

The same Lord who breathed Earth into existence holds your hand. Ask him that your heart would break for the things that break His. Ask that He would use you to share His truth with others. Do not worry.
"The Lord your God is among you, a warrior who saves. He will rejoice over you with gladness. He will be quiet in his love. He will delight in you with singing!" Zephaniah 3:17
